printed fabrics

100% cotton or linen

the fabrics should be washed separately in plenty of water the first few times to remove any excess dye that may have remained on the fabric surface. wash at 60°C (140°F). we recommend washing before sewing as cotton and linen fabrics always shrink in their first wash. we don’t recommend dry clean to endure the prints retain their original appearance.

fabrics with metallic printing (gold and silver prints) should be washed at 40°C(104°F) and in plenty of water and should be ironed on the reverse side.

pvc-coated fabrics

the easy-care pvc-coated fabrics are intended for indoor use. as we want our products to be as environmentally safe as possible, we have started to use only wax chemicals soluble in water. please, remember to wipe off strong-colored stains (carrot, tomato, berries, ink, sauces) immediately to prevent the stain from adhering to the porous coating. if the reverse side of the fabric becomes soiled, we recommend machine wash. avoid using a fast spin-cycle. do not soak, because printed colors may bleed. please, remember that continous machine-wash weakens the waxing, as water-soluble wax dissolves somewhat in washing. the fabric can be steam ironed on the reverse side.

linen

new linen bedding initially sheds lint, which is characteristic of linen. the use of fabric softener increases linting. linen shrinks in the first wash more than cotton, and tumble drying causes additional shrinkage. avoid using the fast spin-cycle. mangling or ironing restores the beautiful luster of linen.

upholstery fabrics

to maintain the colors, we recommend washing fabric at 60°C (140°F). washing at a lower temperature can cause colors to bleed. do not rub stains, as this may fade the colors. the upholstery fabrics have been treated with a stain-repellent finish. the finish lasts through about 10 washings.

alexis bittar jewelry

· after each use, gently wipe with a soft cloth and store in a jewelry box.

· please avoid direct contact with water (salt or fresh), excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as chlorine, sulfur, perfume, detergent and lotion. excessive light, heat or moisture will deteriorate the quality of lucite, plating on the metal and gemstones. the color of the lucite and some gemstones may fade if constantly exposed to the sun. Exposing Lucite jewelry to water will cause the paint seal to disintegrate or peel off.

· collections consist of precious metal (sterling silver) and non-precious metal (brass and base metal) and they are often plated with 18K gold. some chains you see in our collection are 14K gold-filled. the metal may darken or tarnish with normal wear. we recommend gently wiping the metal surface with a polishing cloth, however, excessive polishing will rub off the plating and is not recommended.

· because most of the stones used in our collection are natural gemstones and pearls, they may vary in shape, size and color. inclusions can be seen in natural stones and is a part of their beauty. pearls and most gemstones do not stand the force of cleaning agents, polishing cloth or ultrasonic cleaners.
</body-html>
